Well the wishes of the DC NE Blaze community came true with our gun defender Micaela Wilson getting plenty of court time after her call up to the NSW Swifts against the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

With the Swifts suffering two midcourt injuries, Micaela was given the WD bib early in the 2nd quarter and played out the rest of the match.
While no one ever wants to see an injury to a player, the positive can be that it presents another player with an opportunity......

The Swifts website match review says that despite being in an unfamiliar midcourt role, Micaela "didnt miss a beat. She "slotted in nicely and grew in confidence every minute".

The match was quite thrilling, ending in the Swifts going down by a single goal to the reigning champions.
Its worth noting that Monday Blaze training at RMIT suffered a major interuption when, having heard that Micaela was on court, everyone rushed out to watch the match on TV.
