North East Blaze kicked off Round 1 of the 2010 preseason competition with some great competition against Yarra Valley Ariels.
New combinations and some first night nerves, saw Blaze have some fantastic and some less than perfect moments across all matches over the night. A great first night for all players and teams, with more work ahead for the next four weeks.

- CHAMP Ariels 65 defeated Blaze 42
- DIV 1 Ariels 51 defeated Blaze 27
- 19&U Ariels 38 defeated Blaze 33
