Come and help the Blaze warm up for the inaugural VNL season! North East Blaze invites all parents, supporters and anyone interested in netball to come and view our inaugural Blaze Cup intra club matches.
When: Starts 7pm, Monday 2nd March
Where: Bundoora Netball and Sports Centre, RMIT Bundoora, enter via McKimmies Rd, Bundoora
What: Each Blaze team will play each other once over 2x15min halves, with three minutes half time change. The teams have determined whether there should be any handicapping and the 19&Under team have decided that they should have a five goal head start against the Championship team, all other matches will start from square.
Points: Teams will get 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss, percentage will be calculated on goals for and goals against. The team with the most points, then percentage if equal on points, will be crowned the winner of the Blaze Cup.
Planned Timing:
7.00-7.25pm Warm Up – All Teams
7.25-7.58pm Championship vs 19&Under – 5 goal head start to 19&Under Team
8.00-8.33pm Division 1 vs 19&Under – square start
8.35-9.08pm Championship vs Division 1 – square start
Presentations: At the conclusion of matches we invite all to join us for some light nibbles, whilst we present the inaugural Blaze Cup. We will also be announcing captains and vice captains for all teams.
Players and officials are reminded that they should be in full uniform, including dresses, for this event.
